These $4,000 non-service awards are intended to support recruitment and retention of qualified domestic students with financial need. Students must be fully admitted, full-time, degree-seeking, with a GPA of 3.0 or better.
Academic departments may nominate:
a) Current master’s and doctoral students who will complete their program during the 2014-2015 academic year, to receive a one-year award;
b) Master’s and doctoral students newly admitted for Fall 2014: master’s students (including MFA) may retain the award for 2 years and doctoral students for 3 years, assuming good academic performance and continued financial need demonstrated through (re)submission of the FAFSA.
In either case, individuals must submit a 2014-2015 FAFSA by March 1, 2014 and MUST be NOMINATED BY THE ACADEMIC DEPARTMENT. Students cannot apply directly for these awards. If you are interested in a Graduate Dean’s Award, please contact your academic department’s Director of Graduate Study. International students and students with assistantships are not eligible.
