Graduate Dean’s Awards

These $4,000 non-service awards are intended to support recruitment and retention of qualified domestic students (citizens or eligible non-citizens) with financial need. Students must be fully admitted, degree-seeking, enrolled in at least six semester hours per semester*, and have a GPA of 3.0 or better. Awardees may not hold a concurrent assistantship.

Academic departments may nominate:

a) Current master’s and doctoral students who will complete their program during the 2015-2016 academic year, to receive a one-year award;

b) Master’s and doctoral students newly admitted for Fall 2015: master’s students (including MFA) may retain the award for 2 years and doctoral students for 3 years, assuming good academic performance and continued financial need demonstrated through (re)submission of the FAFSA.

Individuals must submit a 2015-2016 FAFSA, preferably by March 1, 2015 for timely notification of an award, and MUST be NOMINATED BY THE ACADEMIC DEPARTMENT. Students cannot apply directly for these awards. If you are interested in a Graduate Dean’s Award, please contact your academic department’s Director of Graduate Study.
