Are you interested in coming to campus to learn more about Graduate Education at UNCG? The Graduate School offers Information Sessions, Open Houses and Individual Campus Tours. Information Sessions include a potential meeting with a representative from an academic department, breakout information sessions on various topics, but do not include a campus tour. There is no limit on the number of participants who can attend an Information Session. An Open House is more intimate session which is limited to 25 participants and includes a campus tour. Upcoming Information Session: January 30, 2018
Information Sessions are designed for individuals who are exploring opportunities for graduate education at UNCG. The Information Session provides an opportunity to meet with faculty representatives from academic departments and to ask your specific questions about degree programs, requirements, the application process, and financial aid.
Information Sessions include a welcome from the Vice Provost and Dean of The Graduate School, workshops on topics like “Graduate Student Life at UNCG” and “Building a Strong Graduate Application”. There will also be a time open questions and answers. You will conclude the evening by meeting with a representative from the graduate program of interest.
Registering for the Information Session
Registration is necessary in order to attend the event and to ensure an academic department representative is available to meet with you. Registration for the January Information Session will be available in December 2017.

On selected afternoons during the Fall and Spring semesters, we will be holding Graduate School Open Houses for prospective students (generally those who have not yet applied to The Graduate School) wanting to learn more about graduate education at UNCG.
Each Open House will include a session with the Assistant Dean of The Graduate School about many topics including the History of UNCG, our programs, building a better application, and more! Each on campus Open House will also include a tour of UNCG’s beautiful campus!
Please note: Open Houses will NOT include meeting with representatives from academic departments. If you are interested in meeting with an academic department, please contact the academic department directly to set up a meeting before or after the Open House event. All Open Houses will take place in the Graduate School Welcome Center, 500 Forest.
Reservations are REQUIRED for on campus Open House events and are limited to the first 25 individuals to RSVP. If you RSVP for a date and are later unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible.

You will receive an email from The Graduate School within 7 business days either confirming your RSVP or suggesting alternate dates if your choices are full. Again, you are NOT registered to attend an on campus Open House until you receive the confirmation email from The Graduate School. If you are not one of the first 25 to RSVP for an Open House, you will be contacted with further information on other available dates or wait list options.
