THESIS and DISSERTATION
UNCG requires thesis and dissertation students to submit an electronic thesis or dissertation (ETD) for publication that is formatted according to the appropriate template. Learn more about the process, requirements, and how to submit your ETD.
Teaching Assistants
UNCG employs some graduate students as Graduate Teaching Associates (GTA). GTAs serve as instructors of record for undergraduate courses. Others are hired as Graduate Instructional Assistants (GIA). Learn more about the requirements and benefits below.
Three Minute Thesis
In the 3MT competition, students convey the essence and importance of their master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation research in an engaging way to a non-specialist audience in just three minutes and with one static PowerPoint slide. Learn more below.
Writing Resources
The University Writing Center is ready to work with you on any kind of writing, from a seminar paper to a dissertation. Every writer deserves a good reader, and our graduate consultants are ready to provide encouragement, support, and advice.
Showcase of Scholarship
The purpose of the Showcase is to present the accomplishments of UNCG’s graduate students to the Greater Greensboro community and to provide a venue for students to communicate their research and creative activities to the public.
Graduation INformation
UNCG students must formally apply to graduate during the beginning of the semester when they will finish their degree requirements. After applying to graduate, the University Registrar’s Office confirms that they have met all degree requirements.
