The cost of attending graduate school includes direct costs of tuition, fees, and health insurance. It also includes indirect costs such as living expenses, books and supplies, travel, and other personal expenses. Many graduate programs require differential tuition beyond the base rate to cover the extra demands of graduate education. UNCG tuition and fee rates can be found on SpartanCentral.

Lofts on Lee is an on-campus housing option designed for the specific needs of graduate students, who require increased independence, privacy, and flexibility, but still need ease of access to campus. Greensboro is known for its diverse population and myriad of opportunities for young professionals. Graduate Assistantships provide students opportunities for professional experience, academic training, and financial support while pursing graduate degrees. Assistantships are paid positions that support the teaching, research, or service mission of UNC Greensboro.


Fellowships may be offered by UNC Greensboro or may be nationally competitive grants, scholarships, and similar funding opportunities for students. Typically, fellowships fund study, research, or teaching in the United States or abroad.

Tuition Support

Students may be nominated for tuition awards that range from partial to full tuition coverage. UNC Greensboro provides tuition support for the majority of doctoral students who are awarded graduate assistantships. Some master’s students are also able to receive tuition support.

Health Insurance
